A roundtable discussion to mark Road Safety Week 2009 will be broadcast before the Khmer New Year holiday on TV3 - one of the largest TV channels in Cambodia. Participants in the road safety discussion will be: a representative from the National Road Safety Committee, Handicap International Belgium (HIB), and the Phnom Penh Municipal traffic police.

The discussion will focus on the cause of accidents in Cambodia and its consequences. Furthermore, the roundtable will offer advice and tips on how to drive safely during the Khmer New Year holiday, traditionally a period where accidents and casualties spike dramatically. The chief messages are:

• Protect Your Life, Do not speeding;
• Protect your Life, Do not Drinking and Driving
• Protect your Life, Wear a Helmet.
